Activity 3.2.1 – Natural Resources Review

After watching a video entitled “Exploring Natural Resources” produced by Brian A. Jerome for my Environmental Science class, I created a concept map using the website, “Bubblus”, to help demonstrate my knowledge.

Natural Resources, such as water, wood, and food that came from the natural environment, can be taken and used as either a renewable or a non-renewable resource. Renewable resources can be replaced by the Earth and non-renewable resources can’t be replaced by the Earth either at all or if it takes a very long time to replenish. Fossil Fuels are non-renewable resources as well and that is why they are connected. Natural resources can create environmentally and economically alternative resources known as synthetics. Synthetics can be reused and recycled just like most natural resources.

I also provided examples within the concept map to help gain a better understanding of the differences between renewable resources, nonrenewable resources, and synthetics.
